MEDIU’s 15th Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 15^th Academic Senate Meeting of 2014 on Friday, 14 March 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To approve the final results of September 2013 for Bachelor of Civil Engineering and Bachelor of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (On Campus)
• To terminate student [BBA133BE352] from the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences due to did not sit in all final examination papers according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examination.
• To terminate student [BIS131AX832] from the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology due to fail three times in a row for a core subject according to Article 32 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examination.
• To withdraw student [BSD101AE046] from graduation as the student did not complete the required credit hours.
• To approve the graduation and amend the final year project to 71% for student [BIT091AA540]
• To withdraw status of several students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Faculty of Languages due to discontinues of studies without informing to defer according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examination.
• To terminate several students from the Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences who fail to sit in all final examination papers in a given semester without acceptable excuse according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Study and Examination.
• To approve the appeal results of 11 students for September 2013 semester.
