MEDIU visited four Islamic schools in Selangor and Kuala Lumpur district

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) visited several Islamic government high schools(SMKA) in conjunction of the Malaysian Certificate of Education(SPM) announcement results on Thursday, 20 March 2014. Among the visited schools in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur districts are SMKA Kuala Lumpur, SMKA Jeram, SAMTTAJ Shah Alam and SMKA Simpang Lima, Sabak Bernam.

MEDIU was invited by the schools to set-up an information booth as an opportunity for the school leavers to get more information on the academic programs offered by the University. MEDIU delegates were represented by Head of Marketing Department; Mr. Mohd Shahrin Ab Rahman along with MEDIU’s Admissions and Registration personnel namely Mr.Syazwan Khalis, Mr.Izzuddin Helmy Abdul Aziz, Mr.Azrul Nizam Maidin Kutti, Mr.Lokman Hakim Ali and Mr.Muhammad Sayuti Ibrahim.

The students were briefed by MEDIU’s representatives to pursue their higher education in the University’s academic programs. They were briefed on MEDIU’s current available program which is the Foundation in Arabic and Islamic Studies; with a minimum of 5 credits in SPM and full sponsorship by the University**. The offer was announced by MEDIU’s Honorable Rector, Prof.Dr Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi recently to encourage more students to study in various Islamic Sciences fields namely Fiqh and Usul Fiqh, Ulum Al-Quran, Al-Hadith, Da’wah and Arabic Languages after the completion of 1-year Foundation program. The response from schools were overwhelmed as most students were primarily interested in furthering their higher education in the academic programs offered by MEDIU’s Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
Beside visiting the schools in the Selangor and Kuala Lumpur districts; MEDIU’s Marketing representatives namely Miss Izwah Kamaruddin, Miss Faridah Baharun, Mr. Esmail Ebrahim Hassan Al-Mokhtar and led by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat has taken a proactive role in visiting several Islamic high schools in the north and east coast region of Peninsular Malaysia.

Those students who were interested in furthering their studies in MEDIU, has filled in the application form and was given a conditional offer letter during the session involved.
