Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) held a Qurban Ceremony under MEDIU Community Program on Monday, 6 October 2014. The program was held at Surau Ar-Rahmah, Section 8 in Shah Alam. The program was organized in respective to the Eid Adha Mubarak 1435H/2014 with a total of 7 cows; 2 cows from MEDIU were sacrificed in the ceremony with the cooperation from the mosque committee members, nearby residents as well as MEDIU’s staff and students.
The program was led by MEDIU’s Manager of Administrative Affairs, Ust.Fuad Ahmad Umar Al-As with the cooperation by the Head of Mosque; Dr.Fuad. MEDIU’s staff and students were also involved in the slaughtering process as well as the meat distribution to MEDIU students, nearby residents and those in need who have been identified by the mosque committee.
The program is an annual program organized by the Public Relations to strengthen the ties with the local communities as well as to uphold and strengthen the spirit of ukhuwwah among Muslims in the spirit of Eid Adha Mubarak. It also helps to enliven the days of glory of Islam and to promote mutual understanding and cooperation between MEDIU’s staff and students.
