MEDIU participates in educational forum “Flexible Education”

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) participate in an educational forum “Flexible Education” organized by the Ministry of Higher Education on Tuesday, 12 January 2016. The forum was well received with the participation of senior officials in education in higher education institutions in the country which was chaired by Secretary General Ministry of Higher Education, YBhg Prof. Dato’ Dr. Ir. Zaini bin Ujang. MEDIU was represented by the Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division, Assoc.Prof.Dr. AB Rahim Ismail.

Among the forum panelists composed of education expertise from Sultan Idris Education University (UPSI), Wawasan Open University and Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA). The forum emphasized the role of the university in the future with regard to quality standards in education and flexible delivery of education and technology education for all spectrum of society and the need to link education to all social classes with the latest equipment available as well as modern techniques in distance education. The speaker also pointed out that flexibility should not be a goal in education but the goal in the way education is flexibility could help in realizing quality education. MQA also holds trust in the role of monitoring and maintaining the quality of teaching and education and is ready to compete to meet the variable as a result of a more open and flexible education system.
