Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) recently participated in ‘University of the Future Seminar Series 1/2017: Action Learning’ which was held on Thursday, 29 March 2017 in Ministry of Higher Education, Putrajaya. The conference was organized by Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) Malaysia and was attended by Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail, Deputy CEO Research and Development Division and Asst. Prof. Dr. Bakare Kazeem Kayode, Dean of University Development and Quality.
The forum discussed on the characteristics of the university in the future and direction of the university in the context of teaching and learning at the university level. In addition to participation of Honorable Minister of Higher Education Malaysia, the forum include the top management of the ministry, public and private universities, federal agencies, agencies and some non-governmental organizations (NGOs). The discussion centered on university of the future in the context of Action Learning(AL) with the following issues definition of Action Learning (AL), practice of AL in Malaysia as well as the curriculum design, delivery and assessment of AL. The session was moderated by Professor Dr. Awang Bulgiba Awang Mahmud: Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic & International) of University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur.
