Maybank Islamic Education Assistance to MEDIU

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) have been invited to the launch of Maybank Islamic Education Aid in 2014 which was held recently on Saturday, 16 August 2014 in Bukit Besar, Alor Setar in Kedah. The program was officiated by the Honorable Chief Minister of Kedah, Datuk Mukhriz Tun Mahathir and attended by the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs), Major General Dato ‘Seri Jamil Khir Baharom. The event was witnessed by Mr. Muzaffar Hisham; CEO of Maybank Islamic Berhad, Ust. Muhd Ramadhan Fitri Bin Ellias; Head of Shariah Management, Maybank Islamic Berhad and Mr.Rajenthiran Koru; Regional Director of Maybank for Penang, Kedah and Perlis Region.

MEDIU was selected to receive a grant of RM 20,000 by the Maybank Islamic Education Aid and the aid was received by MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Department; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat. Among the assistance that will be given to the selected institutions are counselling training classes with the Yayasan Pelajaran Mara (YPM) and Maktab Rendah Sains Mara(MRSM) as well as fund assistance for the students education.
