Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) visited several Islamic government high schools(SMA) in the northern and southern of Peninsular Malaysia in conjunction of the Malaysian Islamic Higher School Certificate (STAM) announcement results from Tuesday-Friday, 27-30 January 2015. Among the selected schools are SMA Jaim Al-Asyraf, Malacca; SM Sultan Muhammad, Malacca; SAMT Tengku Ampuan Jemaah, Shah Alam; Sekolah Menengah Islam Darul Ulum, Pokok Sena, Kedah; Maktab Mahmud, Alor Setar, Kedah; and SMA Al-Nahdzah, Kota Sarang Semut in Kedah.
MEDIU was invited by the schools to set-up an information booth as an opportunity for the STAM school leavers to get more information on the academic programs offer as well as promotional activities by the University’s officials.. MEDIU delegates was led by Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat, Mr. Mohd.Shahrin Ab.Rahman, Head of Marketing, Miss Faridah Baharun from Marketing Department and assisted by Mr.Muhammad Shareez (Customer Sevice), Mr.Mohammad Azmil (Corporate Service , Mr.Mohd Taufuiq (Examination & Records) and Miss Nurfatin Atiqah(Trainee).
A total of 199 applications were received during the four- days road tour, which involves STAM(63 applications), STPM(51 database) and SPM(85 database). The students response were overwhelming and majority of the applications received gave a positive feedback to know more on the Faculty of Islamic Sciences academic programs and MEDIU’s Foundation of Arabic Languages & Islamic Sciences.
