An Islamic talk session entitled “Shia: Major Principles of Difference with Muslims” was held on Thursday, 6 March 2014. The session was held in HESS Corporation, KLCC and organized by MEDIU’s Community Service under the Public Relations Department.
MEDIU was invited to enlighten the ideology and agenda of the Shia that have negative impact on the Muslims. The speaker of the session was represented by Mr. Abd. Aziz Mohammed Ateik; Lecturer from the MEDIU’s Faculty of Languages and accompanied by Mr. Muhammad Ariff Hussin, Corporate Services officer. His extensive experience of Shia has taken a role in the success of the program by clarifies on the major differences in Quran, Sunnah, Companions, Imam Mahdi and Muslims. It was concluded that Shia have almost totally different ideology regarding the five major principles. The organizer of the program; Mr. AbdulHaleem Abdul Majeed states that the session is very helpful in providing information, awareness on the matter from those knowledgeable in this field.
