INVITATION FOR INVENTION, INNOVATION & DESIGN COMPETITION ON e-LEARNING (IIDEL) AT NATIONAL UNIVERSITY CARNIVAL ON e-LEARNING (NUCel 2014)

“e-Education for e-Generation”

National University Carnival on e-Learning in 2014 (NUCeL 2014) is an idea by the Malaysian public eLearning Council meeting councilors. It is a platform to promote, exploration and sharing of expertise, best practices and the application of e-learning among the educators of higher education in Malaysia. The carnival will involves three main activities, exhibitions, competitions and recognition and e-Learning National Award to stimulates quality improvement of the e-learning in the future.

Date: 14-15 November 2014 (Friday-Saturday) at Shah Alam Convention Centre (SACC)

Objectives:

  • Platform to promote e-learning and blended learning practical higher education to Malaysians in general.
  • Platform  to students, academia, industry and the public to share, demonstration and promotion of innovation and the latest e-learning products.
  • As the official platform for recognizing and presenting awards to honor the achievements and best practices of e-learning in higher education among all citizens, as the e-Learning National Award.

Competition on  Invention, Innovation & Design On e-Learning (IIDEL)

Objectives

  • Display research, design and innovation of citizen universities / colleges in the Teaching & Learning (R & D) to support e-Learning policies that have been introduced.
  • Fostering a culture of innovation through the creation and sharing of expertise and ideas to the commercial, creative and innovative among universities / colleges.
  • Foster interest and encouragement to the lecturers, staff and students in developing teaching aids more creative in parallel with the development of technology.

Entry Fees

  • All entries subject to a fee of RM250.00

Rules and Regulations

  • IIDEL competition is open to all lecturers/staff/ universities or colleges students.
  • Participation is by individual or group (2 to 5 lecturers / staff / students).
  • Combination of lecturers, staff and students are allowed and encouraged.
  • Products or innovations that were to be related to the process or substance of Teaching & Learning (R & D) or e-Learning.
  • Each entry must be accompanied by a completed entry form. E-mail the entry form along with a receipt / proof of payment to nucel2014@gmail.com.
  • Closing date of the entries is on 31 October 2014.
