MEDIU particpated in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Global Forum

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) participated in IIUM Global Forum with the theme “Enhancing the skills of presentation, delivery, leadership, communication and creativity in work”. The forum was held in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) from 26-27 March 2015. The forum was organised by International Islamic University Malaysia in collaboration with the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia, Kuala Lumpur.

MEDIU’s were represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sekou Toure; Dean of Scientific Research,  Asst. Prof. Dr. Elsayed Mohamed Salem; Dean of Library Affairs;  Asst. Prof. Dr. Ashraff Hasan Mohammad, Dean of Postgraduate Studies; Asst. Prof. Dr Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh, Dean Faculty of Education; Asst. Prof. Dr. Usman Jakfar, Dean Faculty of Islamic Sciences and Mr.Jamaluddin Hussain; Head of Public Relations. Among the objectives of the forum are to discover modern methods of leadership, management, communication and creativity and to identify the significance of these skills in aiding the university community to actively enroll in productiove community work.

The forum begins with a welcoming remarks by Prof.Dr.Abdelaziz Berghout; Deputy Rector (Internationalisation & Industry and Community Relations), IIUM and followed by six (6) session that covers topics namely emotional intelligence, presentation & communciation, leadership, creativity and wasatiyyah approach. Among the presenter on the first day of the forum are Dr.Abdulrahman Albelaihi; Islamic Counsellor Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia on “Skills of delivery, communication and art of speech in enhancing work”, Prof.Dr.Abdelaziz Berghout on “Enhancing leadership skills in work”, Prof.Dr.Waleed Fekry Faris; Director of International Institute for Muslim Unity on “Enhancing the skills of emotional intelligence in work”, Dr.Jamal Ahmed Badi; Kuliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences on “Enhancing the skills of creativity & innovation in work”. The last day of the forum were presented by Dr.Akram M.Zeki; Kuliyyah of Information and Communication Technology on “Utilizing modern technology and social networks to enhance work”, Dr.Bachir Soualhi; Director General of IIUM Global Forum and Dato’Hamidon Abd Hamid; Director of University Centre for Community Engagement presented the last paper on “Importance of Wasatiyyah approach in facilitating work”.

Towards the end,closing remarks were delivered by H.E Ambassador of the Royal Embassy of Saudi Arabia; Mr.Fahad Al-Rashid and MEDIU’s representative thanked the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi in giving them the opportunity to participated in such forum which designed to provide a range of experiences, knowledge and skills for the development of the Muslim human expertise in the areas of leadership,speech and communication as well as creativity and management.
