MEDIU organized ‘Forum on Islamic Literature’

Al-Madinah International University recently organized a forum on ‘Islamic Literature’ on Thursday, 25 June 2015. The program was organized by Faculty of Languages in collaboration with the World Association of Islamic Literature. The invited panel for the session are Prof. Walid Kassab; Deputy President of the World Association of Islamic Literature based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and Dr. Mustafa Bahgat, lecturer from the Faculty of Islamic Revealed Knowledge, International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM).

The 1 day forum as chaired  by Asst. Prof. Dr. Elsayed Mohamed Salem and began with a welcoming speech by Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs; Assoc.Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman. Later, Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega; Dean Faculty of Languages gave an opening address to all the participants. The participants were presented with an Arabic language narrative presentation which was delivered by a Malaysian semester one student; Brother Mohammed Fawzi whom delivers a history of Prophet Muhammad SAW companion, Abu Musa Al-Asy’ari RA. His presentation won praise from the guest panel due to his impressive command of language and literary presentation.

The honoured guest panel, Prof. Dr. Walid Kassab elaborate in detail on the Islamic literature and its current needs as well as the development of the World Association of Islamic literature. He also praised on MEDIU’s efforts and commitment to hold such forum to uphold and preserve the Islamic literature in order to endure a fruitful field of missionary among societies around the world.
