Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) recently participated in ‘Forum for Teachers of Arabic Language for Non-Native Speakers’ on Saturday, 29 April 2017 in De Palma Hotel, Kuala Lumpur. The program is the first forum for Southeast Asia teachers organized by MS Asia Educational Services and Human Development in collaboration with Khartoum International Institute for Arabic Language.
MEDIU was represented by the Dean Faculty of Languages, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daud Quadir Elega accompanied by Assoc. Prof. Dr Elsayed Mohamed Salem
in the presence of HE Mr. Maawiya Al-Bukhari, Ambassador of the Republic of Sudan to Malaysia.
The forum attracted participants from various Southeast Asia region namely Malaysia, Indonesia, Singapore, Brunei, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam, Philippines, Sri Lanka and China. The session was was moderated by Prof. Badri Najib Zubair, Director of the Al-Hilal Center of International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM); Prof. Ali Abdullah Al-Naim, Director of the Khartoum International Institute for Arabic Language and and Dr. Mutawakil Abdul Latif Al-Fadni, Executive Director of MS Asia.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Daud Quadir Elega expressed his appreciation to the organizers for coordinating such forum in their efforts to spread the Arabic language globally, in the dissemination of the language of the Al-Quran in different means of employing modern technologies through the educational systems in conventional or distance education.
