Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) held the annual Ramadhan 2016/1437H contribution for the orphanages from Rumah Perlindungan Al Nasuha, Gombak recently. It has become a yearly tradition for such program which was organized by the Public Relations Department aimed to provide a medium for the staff to serve and celebrate the blissful of Ramadan and Eid with the less fortunate children as it is recommended by Islam.
Rumah Perlindungan Al Nasuha located in Gombak, Selangor are privately managed by Mrs. Fatimah Husin or merely known as ‘Umi’ by the children’s. The shelter inhabited by approximately 70 residents of single mothers, orphans, unfortunate and abandoned children between the ages of 2 months – 15 years old. Among the objectives of such program are to strengthen MEDIU’s relationship with the local communities as part of our community services, to provide opportunities for individuals who are able to stretch out contributions to the orphans and the less fortunate as well as to create any sense of awareness and consciousness among MEDIU’s staffs to help those less fortunate and reach them in the month of Ramadhan.
Contribution in the form of money, basic necessities and food to the charity homes were delivered by Ust. Jamaluddin Hussain, Head of PR Department accompanied by Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani from Students Affairs Division on Friday, 1 July 2016.
