Educational Visit by Language and Communication Student Association(FALCOM), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA)

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a delagation of 85 students and teachers from Faculty of Languages and Communication (FALCOM), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) in Kuala Terengganu, Terengganu on Thursday, 22 April 2016. The delegates was led by Mr. Mohammad Azizie bin Aziz, Faculty’s Lecturer and Mr. Wan Mohd Syazwan Abd Rahman, Head of the Association.

The delegates was welcomed by Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division, Assoc.Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Dean Faculty of Languages; Assoc.Prof. Dr. Daud Abdul Quadir Elega along with respective faculty members namely Asst. Prof. Dr. Elsayed Mohamed Salem, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdulwasiu Isiaq Nasirudeen and Asst. Prof. Dr. Flayyih Mudhhi Ahmed. The educational trip enables the students to gain more information on university’s development, academic programmes available as well as to gain exposure on the Arabic learning environment in the university.

In the introductory session, Assoc. Prof.Dr.Daud Abdul Quadir Elega conveyed his welcome speech in which he expressed his pleasure of the visit. He also introduced the courses available at the Faculty of Languages, its role and the quality of the courses offered in order to provide a source of inspiration for the students to continue their studies in MEDIU. Some tips to master the Arabic language and the proposal of acquiring excellence in language acquisition have been applied to the students. Among other activities held were quizzes on Arabic literature, poetry and poem presentation, choral speaking and others.

At the end of the program a token of appreciation were presented to the head of delegation and later were brought for a short tour to have a closer look at the classes, computer labs, library and other facilities around the University’s learning center.
