Educational Talk with SMKA Tun Perak and SBAK Al-Ashraf, Melaka

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) conducted an educational talk with the students of SMKA Tun Perak, Jasin and SBAK Al-Ashraf, Alor Gajah in Melaka on 11 September 2014. The program aims to enhance awareness among students on the importance of seeking knowledge to the higher level as well as seeking opportunity for them to pursue their higher education with MEDIU. University’s booth were displayed to seek potential candidates that will be sitting for the upcoming Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia(SPM) and Sijil Tinggi AgamaMalaysia (STAM)2014.

MEDIU representatives were led by Head of Marketing; Mr.Mohd Sahrin Hj Ab. Rahman along with Miss Izwah binti Kamaruddin and Miss Faridah Baharun from the Marketing Department as well as Mr. Jamaluddin Hussain, Head of Public Relations Department. The initiative of the educational talk is to seize opportunities for the students to pursue in higher education align with philosophy of the nation educational model, to emphasizes the inclusiveness of education to all citizens and opportunity to access to higher education. The partnership with the schools is not only to offer academic programs to the students but more to collaboration in developing a new generation with an appreciation towards the Islamic knowledge.

SBAK Al-Ashraf was administered by the Malacca Islamic Religious Department (JAIM) and established on 4 January 1988; meanwhile SMKA Tun Perak begin its inception in 1965 and was previously known as Jasin Lower Secondary  School. In 1997 it was renamed as Tun Perak Religious High School by the Former Chief Minister of Malacca; Datuk Abu Zahar bin Isnin. On 8 March 2012, the school was crowned by the Ministry of Education as SMKA Tun Perak.
