Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received an honored guest Sheikh Assim Alhakeem, a prominent figure in Islam from Jeddah, Saudi Arabia on Thursday, 22 March 2018. The honored guest expressed his gratitude to the University’s management for a goodwill visit with the opportunity to give a short lecture to the university’s staff. Sheikh Assim alHakeem were honored to deliver a brief lecture on ‘Anxiety and Depression from an Islamic Perspective’ to the management and staff of the university
Sheikh Assim Alhakeem graduated from the prestigious Umm al-Qura University in Makkah, Saudi Arabia in 1998. At present Shaikh Assim is an Imam of a masjid in Jeddah, a role which he has held for the past 20 years, where he delivers the weekly Friday sermons and lectures on various Islamic areas.
Sheikh Assim Alhakeem also participates regularly on both Islamic radio and television programs to spread the authentic teachings of the Qur’an and Sunnah. The sheikh also had studies for several years the books of the great scholar Shaikh Salih Ibn Uthaymeen (Raheemahullah).
