Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) received a courtesy visit by The Ambassador of State of Kuwait, His Excellency Mr. Saad Abdullah Al-Asousi on Monday morning, 3 March 2014. The delegation was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi, Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat, Deputy CEO of Research and Development Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail as well as Mr. Bahrudin Bin. A Rahman; General Manager of Al-Madinah International Foundation (MIF).
During the discussion with MEDIU’s Honorable CEO, the Honorable Ambassador praised MEDIU’s role in enhancing the usage of modern technology among Muslim to improve the educational process. Mr.Saad Al-Asousi expressed his gratitude for the visit and his keenness to increase the opportunities for constructive cooperation between the two parties. The purpose of the visit was to observe on the University’s progress and development prior as a starting point for sending Kuwaiti students furthering their education in MEDIU. A detailed explanation and procedures of the e-learning process was presented by Mr. Aiman Abdullah Mohamed and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic, administrative and technological facilities.
The State of Kuwait is the most important donors for the University’s project since its inception in the year 2007 through the Ministry of Awqaf, Kuwait. This includes funds from several organizations bodies such as the Heritage Society and the Rise of Islamic Charitable Organizations and Zakat House.
At the end of the visit, MEDIU’s Honorable CEO presented a token of appreciation to His Excellency The Ambassador State of Kuwait who expressed his admiration towards the University’s by stated in the guest book “I had the privileged of visiting MEDIU on Monday morning, 03/03/2014; viewing the prestigious and modern method of delivering education experience and may Allah Almighty bless their efforts.”
