Construction site visit for Engineering students

The Faculty of Engineering recently organized a construction site visit for thirteen (13) Civil Engineering students in collaboration with Vast Construction Sdn. Bhd. in Klang, Selangor on Wednesday, 30 March 2016.

The site visit aims led by the coordinator, Assoc.Prof.Mohamed Noor Abu Hassan believes the site visit will provide the students with sound knowledge on bridges of construction and design, and how the project’s operations are implemented throughout the process. The visit included a tour session accompanied by the residential engineer and the consultant for the project of the Third Bridge,Klang. The civil engineering students are currenty taking the subjects of Structural Design as part of their teaching process, exposing the students to the basics of structural design and real life applications of construction engineering helps in preparing students to be future civil engineers, in addition to preparing them for the career after. The faculty’s will organizes a minimum of one industrial visit for each semester to ensure advancement in their learning as well as to get a better understanding on the subject matters.
