Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) held an ‘Humanitarian Aid Program For Rohingya Childrens’ in the Rohingyan community centre in Ampang, Selangor on Friday, 25 March 2016. The noble program was organized by the Students Affairs Division with the intention to lend a helping hand and ease the burden of the children’s. The community service activity aims to provide humanitarian aid in strengthening the concept of solidarity between individuals and institutions of the Muslim community.
The contribution consist of 120 boxes of goods such as clothes, disposable items, toiletries, towel and educational books was delivered to childrens of the centre and was received by Prof.Abdul Ghani Abdul Rahman, the Deputy Head of the Rohingyan-Malaysia community. The program were led by the representatives of the Students Services Department namely Asst. Prof. Dr. Bakare Kazeem Kayode, Mr. Abdoulaye Mahamat Zakariya, Mr. Ahmed Hamood Hamed Albalawi ,Madam Bibi Asma’ Sher Mohamad and Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani. The aid is collaborated with the Student Representative Council (SRC) President, Mr. Ahmad Syazwan Zainal Ariffin and hopes with the strengthening of this cooperation, will bring them closer to people who are less fortunate.
