Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) has held its Waqf Al-Quran program under university community service activity in achieving the agenda for enlighten the mosques and surau in Klang Valley areas. The program was held on Saturday, 9 April 2016 at Surau Al-Amin, Section 18, Shah Alam. An amount of 50 holy Quran were distributed to the surau with its being authorized by the Research Division of the University of Al-Azhar, The Islamic Affairs and Endowments of Saudi Arabia were delivered by MEDIU’s representatives. MEDIU’s students and staff had the opportunity to assist the surau committee members for the clean-up activities in conjunction with welcoming the holy month of Ramadan this year.
The contribution of the Quran was represented by Tuan Haji Zainuddin Ahmad, Chairman of Surau Al-Amin in the presence of Dato ‘Azahari Dato’ Shaari, Chief of UMNO Shah Alam Division and Dato ‘Hisham Ses, Deputy Chief of UMNO Shah Alam Division. MEDIU was represented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayman Aied Mohammed Mamdouh, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ashraff Hasan Mohammad, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Khaled Hamdy AbdelKarim Kassem and accompanied by Ust. Jamaluddin Hussain; Head of Public Relations, Mr. Mohd Syaifful Aizan Mazlan and Mr. Ahmad Syakir Bin Asri.
