Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) Arabic Intensive Class Closing Ceremony and Scholarship Award for Da’i partcipants was held at the Shah Alam Campus on Wednesday, 27 September 2017 and was inaugurated Prof. Dr. Ab. Rahim Ismail, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Academics. The event was also attended by Ustaz Roslan Mohamed as Da’i Program Teacher’s Training (Murabbi), Program Publisher; Mr. Fadly Thursday, Publishing Staff and Da’i Program Attendee, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Students Affairs Division; Prof. Madya Wan Mat bin Sulaiman, students and university staff.
The event was organized by MEDIU’s Marketing Department in collaboration with the production team of Da’i Program Nusantara, where intensive classes were implemented to all the Da’i participants to strengthen their Arabic language skills in the Arabic atmosphere under the supervision of Arabic instructors Faculty of Languages and Centers Language and outside activities involving students from the Sekolah Agama Menengah Tengku Ampuan Jamaah (SAMTAJ) Shah Alam and Kolej Hafiz in Klang. In addition, the university also provides scholarships to five (5) finalists for the Da’i Nusantara Program namely the scholarship full of studies to Da’i Afiqah, Da’I Hakim and Da’i Fahmi while Da’i Aiman and Da’i Syafiqah were awarded 50% scholarships.
According to MEDIU’s Head of Marketing, Mr. Mohd Shahrin’s the sponsorship brings great branding and marketing value to the university as the program is viewed by nearly 2 million viewers across the country and is a potential market for MEDIU as the program is targeted at youngsters with Islamic values.
The Executive Chairman of TV3 (Islamic Program), Mr. Ruzmi Kamaruddin in his speech, thanked the university for supporting the Da’i program and provided the sponsorship of the courses to the last five participants of the program and welcomed the university to give their ideas and share their views and opinions on any potential Islamic program that benefits the nation.
