Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) received a delegation visit from the Office of DEputy Rector (Academic and Planning) of International Islamic University Malaysia(IIUM) on Monday, 18 April 2016. The honored delegates was welcomed by Honorable CEO, Prof.Dr.Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi with the aim to look more closely in MEDIU’s implementation and benchmarking visit in online education hence discussing related matters pertaining to it.
The delegates were led by Hajjah Nooraini Yusoff; Deputy Director Office of the Deputy Rector (Academic & Planning),Prof. Dr. Nuraihan Mat Daud; Dean Kulliyyah of Languages and Management, Dr. Gairuzazmi Mat Ghani; Director Academic Admission & Management Division, Dr. Mohd. Feham bin Md Ghalib; Deputy Dean (Academic & Planning) Centre for Postgraduate Studies, Dr Rosemaliza Mohd. Kamalludeen from Kulliyyah of Education and Dr. Norsaremah bt Salleh from Kulliyyah of Information Communication Technology.
During the visit, Prof.Dr.Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi states that the orientation of the University ‘s education system is in the adoption of the latest technology as well as a pioneer in e-learning method in pursuit of global modern educational system. He also stressed on University’s commitment to support the education career by adopting the latest technology in the curriculum. A visual presentation on MEDIU, its techniques and educational administrative process as well as on the technology infrastructure, overview on Campus Management System (CMS) and presentation on Advanced Learning i -Management (ALIM) were being presented to the honored delegation by Chief Technology Officer, Mr.Zainul Azhan Ahmad Bashir in the presence of Assoc.Prof.Dr.Wan Mat Wan Sulaiman, Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Hj. Wan Sulaiman Bin Wan Yusoff, Deputy CEO of Student Affairs, respective Dean Faculty of Computer and Information Technology and Dean Faculty of Education.
At the end of the visit, token of appreciation were presented to the delegation and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU ‘s academic and administrative facilities. The IIUM delegates were impressed on the progress and efforts conducted by its Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and convey their admiration towards MEDIU achievements and reputation in a short period of time since its inception by stating in the guest book, “To MEDIU’s Academic and Administrative Staff, the visit today is very beneficial and we really benefit from it due to its advancement and wishing prosperity to be with the university, InshaAllah,” The delegates expressed their desire to extend the bridges of cooperation as well as to strengthen the relationship between IIUM and MEDIU in the future.
