MEDIU’s Faculty of Languages recently organized an ‘Arabic Lecture and Poetry Competition’ in collaboration with the Counseling and Student Activities Department on Friday, 16 May 2014.
The program begins with Al-Quran recitation by Ust.Mohamad Anas Naji, lecturer at the Faculty of Languages and followed by a welcoming remarks by Assoc. Prof. Dr Moussa Oumar Keita, expressed his gratitude to the University’s administration for their continuous support on the students activities as well as to the participants and juries of the program.
Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega; Dean of the Faculty of Languages and Director, Center of Languages delivered his speech in which he thanked Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi on his utmost care to its students and strong interest in the activities that will benefited the students. Head ofArabic Literature Department; Asst. Prof. Dr. Flayyih Mudhhi Ahmedwasgiving a speechentitled “Respect towards literaturefrom MEDIUperspective”, adding that the University’s has many advantagesthanother universitiessuch astheAmount ofinternationallecturersfrom aroundthe worldandbenefit from the useof modern technology,asstated by Miss HudaAbdelRazak; aMaster studentfrom the respective faculty.
Among the juries of the Arabic Cultural Activity are Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, Asst. Prof. Dr. Flayyih Mudhhi Ahmedand Dr. Said Salim expressed their acknowledgement to the University’s administration for their extensive support in providing variety out of class activities for the students and prays to Allah the Almighty for the University’s ongoing success.
