April 2016 Orientation Day

An orientation day to welcome the new students was held for three days from13-15 April 2016. A total of twenty one (21) students enroll for the special intake.The orientation program is collaborated under the Students Affairs Division led by its Deputy CEO, Prof. Dr. Hj. Wan Sulaiman Bin Wan Yusoff and Dean of Students Affairs, Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousef Abu Baker El-Ebiary. The Orientation Committee was led by Sister Bibi Asma’ Sher Mohamad, Head of Student Services Department and monitored by respective officers namely Mr. Muhammad Uwais As-Sadiq Bin Abdul Rahim and Mr. Syed Mahbubul Alam Al-Hasani.

The opening ceremony of the orientation program begins on the second day with an opening speech by Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Prof. Dr. Hj. Wan Sulaiman Bin Wan Yusoff in welcoming the new students and emphasizing on the importance of seeking knowledge in an ‘Arabic’ environment while having patience along the way and a brief introduction remarks by Asst. Prof. Dr. Yousef Abu Baker El-Ebiary. Later, Mr. Aiman Sufyan Bin Aezman from marketing Department brief the students on university’s introduction; university’s rules, regulations on academic, student portal and Advanced Learning & i-Management system(ALIM Starting) presented by Mr. Jafar Batiha, examination and records matters by Mr. Azrul Nizam Maidin Kutti and Mr.Muhammad Arsyad Aslam Bin Mohammad Ali , finance policy briefed by Ms.Siti Masturah Azman, local financial assistance on PTPTN and MARA study loan by Mrs. Nor Suhaza Mohmad Shah and lastly a briefing session on MEDIU’s digital library by librarian, Mr. Fahed Al Kerdi.

MEDIU’s Students Representative Coucnil (SRC) had the opportunity to have an ice breaking session and team building activities with the new students. Lastly, the Student Affairs Division stressed to always assist their best to serve and meet the needs of the students throughout their studies in the university.
