In order to achieve the global recognition in the academic program, MEDIU recently received a recognition from the National Accreditation Board, Ministry of Education Nigeria on the graduating list of students in MEDIU.
The recognition has been stated in the link of Ministry of Higher Education of Nigeria on the University’s effort and commitment towards international recognition of its academic programs. With this recognition, the Nigerian graduate student from MEDIU are competent to join the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC); an organisation set up by the Nigerian government to involve the country’s graduates in the development of the country.
Recently, MEDIU has received a number of students from Nigeria who have completed their studies in September 2013, and were enrolled in the service program service of their respective country. It thus reflects the belief of the Federal Government of Nigeria towards MEDIU. This accomplishment was realized through memorandum of understanding and visit by the Academic Attaché and representatives from the embassy on witnessing MEDIU’s vision in keeping abreast towards international recognition.
During the meeting with MEDIU’s CEO; Prof Dr Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi, the Embassy and Academic Attaché representatives establish on the University’s determination to provide the required services and utmost care to the students services and assistance to resolve any problems arises.
MEDIU is fully recognized as a private university by the Ministry of Higher Education, operating under Malaysia’s Private Higher Education Act of 1996. It runs as a non-profit organization and was duly registered on 20 June 2007 which aims to serve as a global university and received international students globally.
