MEDIU’s Students celebrates Malaysia’s 60th National Day Parade

Al-Madinah International University (MEDIU) students participated on the festive celebration on the National Day Parade in Merdeka Square, Kuala Lumpur to commemorate Malaysia’s 60th year of independence on 31 August 2017. A total of 27 students attend the celebration led by Students Services personnel Mr. Hani Mohammed Naji Al Duais, Mr. Abu Bakar Mohammed Gali and Mrs. Atiqah Shakirah Mohamad Shauki.

The celebration was attended by the Yang di-Pertuan Agong Sultan Muhammad V, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak, Deputy Prime Minister Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi as well as leaders from various backgrounds in the country. The theme of the celebration “My Country, One Heart, One Soul” (Negaraku Sehati Sejiwa) shows the spirit of solidarity, understanding and togetherness with many Malaysians showed the patriotic spirit by donning Jalur Gemilang-inspired costumes and waved the national flag arriving early to catch the annual parade to witness the parade, cheering and recording photos and videos of the event.
