MoU Signing with East Africa University (EAU)

MEDIU has step forward in extending bridges of cooperation and moving ahead towards achieving its objective and vision, as well to be in connection with international university. Recently, MEDIU signed a memorandum with East Africa University(EAU), Bosaaso in Somalia on Thursday, 11 June 2015.

The session was signed between MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi and EAU’s President; Dr.Adam Shekhdoon Ali. Meanwhile MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Research and Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail witnessed the signing ceremony.

The MoU between the two to collaborate efforts to establish and develop academic exchange and co-operation in teaching, training, research and development in the activities among others to promote exchange of online learning technologies, to exchange of information and materials of mutual interest, to promote and facilitate the exchange of research, teaching staff as well as students and others.

East Africa University (EAU) (http://eastafricauniversity.net/) was founded in 1999 with the main campus located in Puntland, Bosaso, Somalia. It is known as the most full-fledged university for the northeastern regions of Somalia (known as Puntland State of Somalia) to fulfill the educational requirements of the society. Among the faculties of EAU are Faculty of Business Administration, Faculty of Shariah & Islamic Studies, Faculty of Computer Science, Faculty of Education, Faculty of Medicine, Faculty of Economics, Faculty of Law, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Veterinary and Faculty of Community Development.
