1/2016 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 1^st Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2016 on Friday, 8 January 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [MAR141BF598] majoring Master in Arabic Language (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.47
• To award the student [MAR141BG485] majoring Master in Arabic Language (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) with CGPA: 3.24
• To award the student [MTF133BB997] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) with CGPA: 3.83
• To award the student [MQD141BE525] majoring Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.47
• To award the student [MTF123AY527] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) with CGPA: 3.64
• To award the student [PFQ113AN518] majoring PhD in Fiqh (By Research)
• To award the student [PFQ113AR016] majoring PhD in Fiqh (By Research)
• To conduct adjustments relating to certain subject codes and the number of credit hours for the bachelor programmes in the Faculty of Engineering.
• To approve on the amendment on academic calendar for Feb 2016 intake.
• To assign ‘Dr.Bey Zekkoub Abdelali’ as Secretary, MAJMA Magazine.
