MEDIU 34th Executive Management Council (EMC) Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired its 34^th EMC meeting for 2014 on Tuesday, 19 August 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.

The EMC has agreed and approved on the matter as follow:

• To strive to be in the classification of Webomatrics as follows; top five among Malaysian universities, maintaining the first rank among private Malaysian universities and among the first 1000 for universities globally.
• To adopt a standardization to measure the level of progress in the axis of propagation (size 50%) in the side (backlink) and the adoption of implementation mechanisms to reach the target to be among the top 200 universities in the world.
  • The current number for backlink : 939K
  • The target number for backlink: 2M
• To adopt a standardization to measure the level of progress in the axis of propagation (size 50%) in the side (referring domain) and the adoption of implementation mechanisms to reach the target to be among the top 200 universities in the world.
  • The current number in referring domain: 6.8K
  • The target number in referring domain: 11K
• To adopt a standardization to measure the level of progress in the axis of openness and the adoption of implementation mechanisms to reach the target to be among the top 200 universities in the world.
  • The current number for the Google Scholar: 9,530 (publication dates within the time scale Safe 2010,2013)
  • The target number for the Google Scholar: 15,470 publication dates within the time scale Security 2010,2013
• To adopt a standardization to measure the level of progress at the center of excellence (17% of Scientific Publications) and the adoption of mechanisms for its implementation by setting a goal to get into the Scopus and be evaluated by Scimago Group.
