Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) Deanship of Student Affairs recently organized a Debate League on Tuesday, 20 May 2014. The program is collaborated with Counseling and Student Activities Department led by Mr. Mahmoud Al-Zgool whom delivered a speech on behalf of Dean of Student Affairs; Assoc. Prof Dr. Moussa Oumar Keita expressed his acknowledgment to MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi on his continuous support on various students activities and thanked the participants for their excellent effort in managing the activity as a part of their learning process.
The debate league win in favor of the government team with the topic entitled ‘The Reform of Islamic Nation Should Led by the Leader’, while in the first round the debatable topic were entitled ‘The Ban of Fast Food’. There are four teams that have taken part in the debate league and only two teams managed to qualify for the final round. Among the judges of the debate league are Mr. Mahmoud Radwan Hussein Al-Zgool, Mr. Mahmud A. Naief and Mr. Esmail Ebrahim Hassan Al-Mokhtar.
At the end of the session, the Chief Judge expressed his delight on the effort by the Deanship of Student Affairs and the Counselling and Student Activities Department in providing valuable activities for the students. The students’ debate league aimed to clarify the vogues on some significant issues. Indeed, the session has improves and develops the students personal skills to understand more on such situations and able to make decision wisely.
