Visit by UniTECH-UNISSA, Brunei

 

 

Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) received a courtesy visit by the ICT Unit(UniTECH) of Universiti Islam Sultan Sharif Ali(UNISSA), Brunei on Tuesday, 11 March 2014. The delegation was led by HE Dr.Fadzliwati Mohiddin; Chief Information Officer; HE Haji Isa Hj Md Tahir; Chief Technology Officer, HE Dr. Haji Adam Hj Jait; Chief Information Office from Kolej Universiti Perguruan Seri Begawan and HE Dayang Yeo Sy Mey from Institut Teknologi Brunei. The honored delegates was welcomed by MEDIU’s Honorable CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi, Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr Hj. Wan Mat Hj Sulaiman, Deputy CEO of Students Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof. Dr.Ismail Mat and Deputy CEO of Research and Development; Assoc. Prof. Dr. AB Rahim Ismail.

The programme begins with a welcoming remark by Mr.Fuad Ahmad Umar Al’As; Manager of Administrative Affairs Division on the overall review of Al-Madinah International University, its teaching methods and administrative procedures. Later, the delegation had a session MEDIU’s IT Division from Ent.& Internal System Development, Technology Infrastructure Services and Internet Application Administration. Among the officers involved were Mr.Mohamad Zaman Shahri, Mr.Zainul Azhan Ahmad Bashir, Miss Asnita Hashim, Nurul Haizi Mohammed Azkhar and Mr. Wan Nurussalam Qutbuddin Wan Abdul Aziz. Presentation on Arabic Language methods of delivery MEDIU’s Digital Library and Al-Quran(Qiraat) were presented by Assoc. Prof.Dr Daud Abdul Quadir Elega, Mr.Karam Qubsi and Ust. Mohamad Anas Naji respectively.

At the end of the visit, token of appreciation were presented to the delegation and this was later followed by an office tour around MEDIU’s academic and administrative facilities. The honored delegation which was led by HE Dr.Fadzliwati Mohiddin expressed their desire to extend the bridges of cooperation as well as to strengthen the relationship between UNISSA and MEDIU in regards to the development of the advances in the technology of e-learning.
