4/2015 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 4^th Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2015 on Friday, 23 January 2015. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To promote ‘Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Ali Abdul Atthe’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
• To promote ‘Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Salahuddin Ahmed’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
• To promote ‘Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdullah Ramadan Khalaf’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
• To approve the extension study period for student [MQR111AM571] for Master in Qira’at (Structure B) for two semesters.
• To approve the extension study period for student [MFQ111AJ466] for Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah (Coursework and Thesis) for two semesters.
• To approve the extension study period for student [MQD111AN109] for Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah (Coursework and Thesis) for two semesters.
• To approve the extension study period for student [MTF103AG898] for Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (Coursework and Thesis).
• To re-approve the admission of student [PEI123AW863] in the Faculty of Education.
• To award the student [MIB121AV403] majoring Master in in Islamic Banking and Finance (By Research).
• To approve the student’s result [MHD111AM755] majoring Master in Ulum Al-Hadith (Coursework and Thesis).
• To approve the student’s result [MAQ113AQ151] majoring Master in Aqidah (Coursework and Project Paper/Case Study).
