
MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 37th Executive Management Council (EMC) meeting on Thursday, 30 July 2015. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.
The EMC has agreed and approved on the matter as follow:
- To approve on the staff gathering for 2nd Quarter Quantitative Objectives Report on Monday, 3 August 2015.
- To approve on the proposal by Board of Faculty of Engineering to increase the number of academic positions in the faculty as follows:
- One full time lecturer in the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Two lecturers in the Department of Civil Engineering (Hydrology and Structural Design).
- One full time lecturer for Pre-Engineering Program.
- To assign ‘Assoc.Prof.Ir.Azman Qasim’ as lecturer in the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering.
- To assign ‘Mrs.Eman Ahmad’ as Deputy Dean,Student Affairs (Online).
- To approve on the proposal by Student Affairs Division as follows:
- To notify suspended online/on campus students in semester Feb 2015 to settle the outstanding balance before 13/08/2015.
- To terminate the online/on campus students in semester Feb 2015 if they fail to settle their balance by online/on campus students in semester Feb 2015 to settle the outstanding balance by 13/08/2015.
- To approve on the proposal by Student Affairs Division for the registration of on-campus students for semester Sept 2015 as follows:
- Not allowed to register for the new semester unless they have settled the outstanding balance.
- Students with outstanding balance above the minimum to be suspended on 14/08/2015.
- Deanship of Student Affairs is to notify the students on the suspension, where in if the students failed to settle the outstanding, the university have the rights to notify the legal authority.
- Students who failed to settle the balance after the fifth week, the status will change to ‘Deferred (D)’ till the next semester.
- Student Services Department will deactivate the suspended students’ access card.
- The above does not apply to students under loads, scholarships or special contracts with the University.
- To approve on the proposal by Student Affairs Division for the registration of online students for semester Sept 2015 as follows:
- Not allowed to register for the new semester unless they have reduce the outstanding balance to RM<3,000.
- Students with outstanding balance above the minimum to be suspended on 14/08/2015.
- Students who failed to settle the balance after the fifth week, the status will change to ‘Deferred (D)’ till the next semester.
- Student Services Department will deactivate the suspended students’ access card.
- The above does not apply to students under loads, scholarships or special contracts with the University.
