36/2016 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s Deputy CEO of Academic Affairs Division; Assoc. Prof.Dr Wan Mat Wan Sulaiman chaired the 36^th Academic Senate Meeting on Friday, 28 October 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [MQD143BG401] majoring Master in Wada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.80
• To award the student [MUF143BI703] majoring Master in Usul Al-Fiqh (Coursework + Project Paper / Case Study) with CGPA: 3.36
• To award the student [MEI151BK488] majoring Master of Education (Curriculum and Instruction) (By Research)
• To award the student [MQD143BI616] majoring Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah Coursework + Project Paper / Case Study) with CGPA: 3.56
• To award the student [MQR143BH255] majoring Master in Qira’aat (By Research)
• To award the student [MAL143BI493] majoring Master in Arabic Literature and Literary Criticism (By Research).
• To award the student [MAQ143BI218] majoring Master in Aqidah (Coursework + Project Paper / Case Study) with CGPA: 3.85
• To approve on the amendment in Article (113) of the Regulations of Postgraduate, which states “The status of candidates as either part-time or full-time students determine the duration of their maximum and maximum periods of study.”
• To approve on the termination of (8) students of Bachelor program in the Faculty of Languages due to their CGPA of current semester <1.67
• To approve on the termination of (10) students of Bachelor program in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences.
• To approve on the termination of (6) students of Bachelor program in the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology.
• To approve on the termination of (29) students of Bachelor program in the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences.
• To approve the results of 52 students (OL/OC) in the Faculty of Languages for the following semesters:
  • Feb/April/June 2016
• To promote ‘Asst. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Abddl-Moteleb Azab’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
