MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 33rd Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2015 on Friday, 9 October 2015. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.
Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:
- To approve the Academic Calendar for the year 2016/2017.
- To award the student [PTF113AT143] majoring PhD in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (By Research).
- To award the student [MBM133BB261] majoring Master in Business Management (By Research).
- To award the student [MAR111AM302] majoring Master in Da’wah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.30
- To accept the students [BN669], [BN492], [BN489] and [BN670] applying for Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah for Sept 2015 from different specialization with the requirement of taking the following subjects:

- To approve the extension period for one semester for student [MTF111AI706], [MQD111AL592].
- To approve the termination of student [MDW103AF016] as student exceeded the maximum duration of the course for Master in Da’wah (Coursework + Thesis)
- To approve the termination of student [BIT103AG525], [BIT113AQ494] as student was caught cheating during the examination based on No.34 of Study and Examination Rules.
