MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 33rd Academic Senate Meeting on Friday, 7 October 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

  • To approve on the graduation of 1 bachelor student for the Faculty of Computer and Information Technology (June 2016 intake)
  • To award the student [MIE151BK056] majoring Master in ICT E-Enterprise(Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.46
  • To approve on the amendment of Term D in the statement of No.2 in Article Forty of the Regulations of the Study and Examinations.
  • To approve on the amendment of the total credit hours of the final year project based on the MQA recommendation from three to six credit hours for the following Master programs (Structure C)-OC for the programs as follows:
    • Master in Fiqh
    • Master in Usul Al-Fiqh
    • Master in Qada and Siyasah Shari’yyah
    • Master in Tafsir and Ulum Al-Quran
    • Master in Da’wah
  • To approve on the compulsory study on comparison studies between Islamic and conventional laws and attending official court session for the Master Qada and Siyasah Shari’yyah students (Structure B and C)-OC.
  • To approve the implementation of the MQA recommendation to amend the evaluation marks distribution for OC students in Master in Qada and Siyasah Shari’yyah to 60% (course work) and 40% (final exam).
