Al-Madinah International University(MEDIU) participated in the 2nd International Conference on Qur’an and Sunnah with the theme “Revelation & Science in the 21st Century”. The conference was held in International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) from 13-15 March 2015. The conference was organised by the Department of Qur’an and Sunnah Studies, Kulliyyah of Islamic Revealed Knowledge and Human Sciences.

MEDIU’s were represented by Asst. Prof. Dr. Sekou Toure; Dean of Research cum Lecturer from Department of Theology & Da’wah, Faculty of Islamic Sciences whom presented a research paper entitled “The dialectical relationship between the median and the contemporary Islamic discourse; a comparative analysis” and Asst. Prof.Dr. Yasser Mohamed Tarshany; Deputy Dean of Islamic Sciences cum Lecturer from Department of Jurisprudence. A mong the participation of the conference are covering leaders in academic and Islamic education, scholars, researchers from public and private educational institutions which deliver almost 302 scientific papers from more than 17 countries.

Towards the end, Dr. Sekou Toure thanked the university administration headed by Prof. Dr. Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Tamimi in giving him the opportunity to contribute to scientific research in line with the interests of scientific research and its role in community development. The organizer emphasized on such efforts to bring together a number of scientists from a wide range of specializations to enhance discussion and intellectual discourse on the Qur’an and Sunnah emphasis on learning, knowledge and science, which is necessary for the entire humanity.
