MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 28th Academic Senate Meeting on Monday, 29 August 2016. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

  • To appoint ‘Assoc.Prof.Dr.Waleed Hasan Mustafa’ as representive for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences for Majmaa Journal Editorial.
  • To approve the final results for 2 students of Bachelor program for the Faculty Finance and Administrative Sciences-Feb 2016 semester (OC/OL).
  • To approve the final results for 1 student of Bachelor program for the Faculty Computer and Information Technology-Feb 2016 semester (OC/OL).
  • To approve the final results for 2 students of Bachelor program for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences-Feb 2016 semester (OC/OL).
  • To approve the final results of Foundation program for the Faculty of Languages (OC) for the following intake:
    • April 2014
    • Feb and April 2016
  • To approve the final results for 4 students of Bachelor program for the Faculty of Languages-April 2016 semester (OC).
  • To approve the final results for 7 students of Bachelor program for the Faculty of Islamic Sciences-April 2016 semester (OC).
  • To approved on the re-enrollment of student [BIT111AL596].
  • To approved of the student [BBA153BL582] to drop the Feb 2016 semester due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • To approve on the equivalent of subjects between Kolej Universiti Darul Quran Islamiyyah Kubang Lembik, Kuala Terengganu with MEDIU’s Bachelor program in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences for the first and second semester with the exception on the subject of [Research Methodology] and [Islamic Education] and exception to transer any other fur subjects with the conditions:
    • The number of credit hours taken by the student in the course must be equal or number of credits hours at the university;
    • The subject’s content must at least match 80% to the subject contents in MEDIU.
