MEDIU 17th Executive Management Council (EMC) Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired its 17^th EMC meeting for 2014 on Thursday, 8 May 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.

The EMC has agreed and approved on the matters as follows:

•  To register MEDIU Training and Continuing Education Centre as Training Provider in the Human Resource Development Fund (HRDF) ; an agency under the Malaysia’s Ministry of Human Resources.

• To offer ‘Project Management Training Program’ trained by Prof. Dr. Barjoyai Bardai for 25 participants.

• To offer ‘SPSS Traing Program’ trained by Mr. Soleyman Paydar for 25 participants.

• To subscribe a TURNITIN software to be used by the Faculty to avoid plagiarism among students.

• To look into the proposal by Vice Dean of Library Affairs on the development of the University’s digital library tasks as follows;

1. Review cataloguing and classification (400) Book of books in the library
2. Providing ,indexing and classification (200) of a new book that does not exist in the library.
3. Providing indexing and classification (100) of a thesis and (50) scientific periodical does not exist in the library.
4. Participation in the project is  other the task the approved by the agency of Library Affairs.

• To appoint ‘Mr. Fuad Abdulrazzaq Nasser’ as Head of Customer Service Department.

• To appoint ‘Miss Faridah Baharun’ as Head of Advertising and Promotion Unit.

• To appoint ‘Mr. Muhammad Sayuti as a Head of Customer Service Unit.

• To appoint ‘Mr. Mahmoud Ahmad Al-Khasawneh’ as Head of Admission and Registration Department.
