13/2017 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 13^th Academic Senate Meeting on Thursday, 30 March 2017. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To approve on promotion of Assoc.Prof.Dr.Ab Rahim Ismail to ‘Professor’ in Arabic Language.
• To approve on promotion of Assoc.Prof. Dr.Daud Quadir Elega to ‘Professor’ in Arabic Language.
• To approve on the Rules and Regulation of MEDIU’s Scientific Journals.
• To approve on the establishment of ‘Al-Lisan International Journal for Linguistic and Literary Studies’ by the Faculty of Languages.
• To approve on the establishment of ‘International Islamic Science Journal’ by the Faculty of Islamic Sciences Journal (Quarterly)
• To approve the applicant [ADM17CB392] majoring Master in Arabic Language (By Research) through Open Entry requirement.
• To approve the applicant [ADM12AX387] majoring Master of Education-Curriculum and Instruction (By Research) through Open Entry requirement.
