1/2017 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 1^st Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2017 on Friday, 6 January 2017. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To award the student [PFQ133BE221] majoring PhD in Fiqh (By Research)
• To award the student [PBM143BI915] majoring PhD in Business Management (By Research)
• To award the student [MQD151BI952] majoring Master in Qada and Siyasah Shar’iyyah (Coursework + Thesis) with CGPA: 3.94
• To award the student [PFQ123AY431] majoring PhD in Fiqh (By Research)
• To award the student [MQR141BF558] majoring Master in Qira’at (By Research)
• To award the student [MAL123AX061] majoring Master in Arabic Literature and Literary Criticism (Coursework + Project Paper / Case Study) with CGPA: 3.77
• To promote ‘Asst. Prof. Dr. Ammar Abdel Wahab’ to Assoc.Prof according to his google scholar publication.
• To assign ‘Dr. Ahmad Salah Mahmoud Al-Ahmad’ as Asst. Prof to teach two subjects every semester and assist in related tasks.
• To approve new and replace old specialization areas for Master and PhD in ICT for Faculty of Computer and Information Technology as follows:
