10/2015 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 10^th Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2015 on Monday, 2 March 2015. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows

• To terminate bachelor students in the Faculty of Islamic Sciences with CGPA <1.67
• To terminate undergraduate students in Faculty of Islamic Sciences who fail (F) in the same subject for two subsequent semester.
• To terminate undergraduate students in Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences who fail (F) in the same subject for two subsequent semester.
• To terminate bachelor students in the Faculty of Finance and Administrative Sciences with CGPA <1.67
• To terminate bachelor students in the Faculty of Languages with CGPA <1.67
• To terminate students from the Faculty of Languages who exceed the maximum number of credit limit for Sept 2014 semester.
• To terminate students from the Faculty of Languages who fail to sit in all final examination papers without reasons according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Student and Examination.
• To terminate bachelor students in the Faculty of Computer & IT with CGPA <1.67
• To terminate master students in the Faculty of Computer & IT with CGPA <1.67
• To terminate students from the Faculty of Computer & IT who fail to sit in all final examination papers without reasons according to Article 20 of the Executive Rules of Student and Examination.
