
MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 1st Executive Management Council (EMC) meeting on Monday, 5 January 2015. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO’s from all respective departments as well as executive management level. Various agenda were being addressed and discoursed in the meeting.
The EMC has agreed and approved on the matters as follows:
- To approve on the withdrawal of online students for SEPT 2014 intake who were suspended and did not make any payment.
- To approve on the withdrawal of student [BQR143BI066]
- To approve on the MoU signing between MEDIU and University of Science and Technology, Yemen.
- To approve ‘AHMAD JAMKIRI’ to teach two subjects [SLAR1053] and [SLAR2163] for the Centre of Languages.
- To assign two external examiners for Master in Information & Communication Technology (By Research) as follow:
- Prof.Dr Ahmad Kamil bin Mahmood
- Prof. Dr.Mohd Fadzil bin Hassan
- To assign two external examiners for Bachelor of Information Technology in System Development and Management Information System as follow:
- Prof.Dr Mohamad Fauzan
- Prof.Dr Roslina Othman
- To approve on promoting ‘Mr.Fuad Bonama’ as ‘Asst.Prof.Dr.’ as he has been awarded PhD in Hadith from International Islamic University Malaysia(UIAM).
- To look into the outstanding balance of on-campus and on-line students for Feb 2015 semester as follows:
- All students needs to make payment of their outstanding balance before registering in Feb 2015 semester.
- The amount limit for the old online students outstanding balance is <RM3000
- Deanship of Students Affairs needs to inform all students on the outstanding regulations prior the FEB 2015 semester.
- Deanship of Students Affairs needs to liaise with Technology Division on any amendment of outstanding limits for old on-campus students.
- Sponsored, PTPTN students are exempted from this regulations.
- To amend Paragraph 2/2 Article 105 of the Postgraduate Studies, which states ‘a student is no longer qualifies academically unless settling the tuition fees and any financial obligations or debts for the University’.
