1/2015 Academic Senate Meeting

MEDIU’s CEO; Prof. Dr. Mohammad Khalifa Al-Tamimi chaired the 1^st Academic Senate Meeting for the year 2015 on Friday, 2 January 2014. The meeting was attended by Deputy CEO from all respective departments and academic deans. Throughout the session, various agenda on academic areas were being addressed and discoursed amongst the senate members.

Among the discussions that have been agreed and approved by the senate members are as follows:

• To approve on the policies for the ARRASIKHUN Journal includes on the following:
  • Structure of Journal
  • Editorial Board of the Journal
  • Tasks of Advisory Board
  • Tasks of Editorial Board
  • Technical and Scientific Arbitration
• To discuss condition of the ARRASIKHUN Journal includes on the following:
  • Journal must be characterized with objectivity and originality
  • Size of the scientific articles
  • Book Review
  • The format of the articles
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM14BH606] majoring Master in Fiqh (Coursework + Project Paper/Case Study) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM15BJ458] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al-Quran (By Research) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM15BJ493] majoring Master of Education-Curriculum and Instruction (By Research) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve the admission for the student [ADM15BJ679] majoring Master in Qira’aat (By Research) through the open entry requirement.
• To approve on the extension study period for the student [MTF103AG983] majoring Master in Tafsir and ‘Ulum Al’Quran (Structure B)
• To award the student [MTF103AG983] majoring Master in  Tafsir and Ulum Al-Qur’an (Structure B) with CGPA: 3.87
• To award the student [MBM131AX235] majoring Master in Business Management (Structure A)
• To award the student [MDW121AV068] majoring Master in Da’wah (Structure B) with CGPA: 3.60
• To award the student [PTF113AS236] majoring PhD in Tafsir and Ulum Al-Qur’an
